COMPANY BIO:

Improv Nashville (IN) was conceived in 2005 by three improv comedy actors who transplanted themselves to Nashville the year before. In a very short time, IN has grown to establish itself as Music City’s most popular currently running improv comedy show. The Improv Nashville troupe features twelve professional players with over 65 years of combined experience in long and short form improv, musical improv, dramatic and musical theater, sketch comedy, as well as radio, television and film.

With such notable cast members as Sheryl Bryant, Michael Bryant and Ann Collett from Nashville’s former golden child of improv One Hand Clapping, former Improv Bostonian Scott Fields, longtime local acting and children’s theatre favorite Barry McAlister, Thom Zelenka from New York’s famed Chicago City Limits Theatre, Emily Volman from Los Angeles’ Second City Musical Improv Showcase, Cindy Carter from Alabama’s sketch comedy troupe Happy Nowhere, Virginia’s Slaphappy Comedy Theatre’s former Managing Director Catherine Segars and Memphis’ favorite collegiate troupe, Contents Under Pressure’s John Sexton, Improv Nashville has organized an all-star team.

Along with their Nashville all-ages shows, Improv Nashville offers improv and sketch comedy classes for adults and youth, corporate training and children’s summer workshops. What People Are Saying:

“I’ve seen and trained with improv groups from Chicago to New York to Boston to Los Angeles. Improv Nashville puts on a smarter and more playful show than most groups in the big cities. If you’ve never seen improv in person, nothing about watching it on television prepares you for the delight of spontaneously discovered humor shared with a live audience. Improv Nashville brings plenty of delight.”
-Robert Saunders, Sr. Editor of the The Slant and Freelance Writer with The Tennessean

“Improv Nashville’s night at The Good Cup was a big hit! The troupe was professional, easy to work with, friendly and very appreciative of the opportunity to perform. Their show was family friendly (without being corny) and entertaining for all ages, especially the teenagers - a tough act to please!”
-Anne Sale, owner The Good Cup

“I’ve seen improv from San Francisco to Boston, and this was one of the best shows ever. It’s really unusual and refreshing to find an improv group that is creative, hysterical and family-friendly! This is exactly the kind of fresh new entertainment that Nashville needs!”
-Jennifer Ives, President, JI Management Group
