To all of the participants of SECAF ‘08, congratulations on a successful
event. It sure was great to be in the company of so many people dedicated
to what we are trying to encourage. SECAF has become the highlight of our
year and it was a pleasure to see old friends, make new ones and learn a
few more tricks. To all of you who were unable to attend this year, you
missed six different troupes putting on one hell of a show. These include
Off Kilter from Jackson, JaCKPie from Atlanta, Lab Rats from Starkville,
Laff Co. from Oxford, Stage Monkeys from Hattiesburg, and our newest
member troupe, Cult Of The Stage Monkey from Lafayette, LA. There was
short-form, long-form, sketches and wonderful standup all performed by
some of the most talented performers in the Southeast. Many thanks go out
to the hosting troupe, Off Kilter and their members who made all of us
feel welcome. Special kudos to SECAA Board President, Brad Bishop, who did
an incredible job coordinating the evening. Lastly, our hats off to all of
the member troupes that participated in the festival. We are already
making plans for SECAF ‘09. See you then!
